On February 14, Hótel Búðir welcomes ÓX for an intimate and carefully curated dining experience on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
The evening begins with a welcome drink, followed by a five-course tasting menu inspired by ÓX, paired with selected wines. After dinner, guests stay overnight at Hótel Búðir and enjoy breakfast the following morning — allowing the experience to unfold at an unhurried pace, surrounded by Icelandic nature.
ÓX, located on Laugavegur in Reykjavík, is one of only three restaurants in Iceland to have been awarded a Michelin star, first received in 2022. In 2025, the restaurant was also awarded a Michelin Green Star for its outstanding commitment to sustainability.
The menu is created and presented by Þráinn Freyr Vigfússon, chef, owner of ÓX, and former Bocuse d’Or competitor. Alongside ÓX, he is also the force behind the acclaimed Sumac restaurant and Amma Don, a speakeasy bar where tradition and innovation meet in a distinctive setting.
This one-night event brings the philosophy of ÓX to Búðir — thoughtful craftsmanship, seasonal ingredients, and a quiet sense of occasion — set against the raw landscape of Snæfellsnes.
