It was winter and there was snow. One could see the green mossy fields underneath the thin wail of snow, the wind was blowing gently. They had their private elope on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in the little black church and stayed at Hotel Budir. Their special moment was captured by Irish & Light.

spectacular setting
The hotel is situated right on the ocean front with a unique sandy white beach. It is surrounded by a lavafield with the magical Snaefellsjokull glacier in the background . The power from the glacier can be felt everywhere and the dramatic landscape is the perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding.
The ceremony can take place in the small and beautiful church next to the hotel, on the white sandy beach, on the moss in the middle of the lavafield or just about anywhere you like.

we´re here for you
There are 28 double rooms in the hotel, including one suite, nine deluxe rooms, ten standard twin rooms, and eight queen rooms in the attic.
All the rooms can be booked as singles upon request. If the entire hotel is booked for a wedding it is possible to offer brunch instead of breakfast for an extra fee.
Prices vary according to seasons and the number of rooms booked.
