Hotel Budir's Statement and Policy

It is the company's goal and policy to create and operate a top-flight, world-class country hotel.   The hotel shall be outstanding in its cuisine, service, staff reception and atmosphere.
Hótel Búdir shall be a destination, not a place to stop over.  The service shall be priced highly according to the quality, and the company's profitability shall be in harmony with this.
Hótel Búdir shall be the ideal hotel for most foreign tourists coming to Iceland and the first choice of each Icelander thinking of high-quality hotel accommodations in the country – a place living up to the experienced guest's hopes and expectations.

Privately-owned and stationed at Budir in Snaefellsnes peninsula, West Iceland, the hotel is run by "Hotel Budir" (ID 470900 2370) - operating the 28 room boutique hotel with restaurant, conference facilities and a bar. The hotel is currently run by Össuklettur hf under a management contract, the hotel manager is Helga Hrund Bjarnadóttir. As a privately owned hotel we take pride in offering a personal, efficient and competitive service, at all times.

The property was rebuilt in the year 2002 with the aim to provide a unique accomodation in the countryside. With all the modern services available, the hotel offers its guests a magnificent staying in an exotic setting.

Hotel Budir since 1948

The hotel has been in service since 1948 and owned by both public and private companies. The new hotel, built in 2002 after a burndown in 2001, has 28 rooms on three levels, a bar, a restaurant with seating for approx. 80 people. A conference facility for up to 80-100 using the restaurant hall and two smaller meeting rooms. The hotel is open all year round.
