On the peak of Snaefells glacier
It is possible to rent snow mobiles in Arnarstapi from where trips to the peak of the glacier are organised, either on snow mobiles or snow
trucks. There is also a ski lift on the glacier which is open both winter and summer. Snjofell operates trips to the glacier, both scheduled on weekends and by the visitors agreement.

Fishing - salmon and trout areas nearby and in Snaefellsnes peninsula
Around the region called Lysa in Staðarsveit are the following main rivers and lakes: Torfavatn, Reydarvatn, Lysuvatn, Hop og Vatnsholtsa. Licences to fish given for all the areas and there are generally not allowed more than 10 rods per day. There are two fishing seasons: 1st april to 30th june (generally trout) and 1st July to 20th september (trout and salmon).
In the past is was possible to fish for sea trout and river trout. There is alot of fish in the river and the catch varies. The salmon is usually small but up to 19 pounds have been caught. The trout is from 400 gr to 2 pounds.
Golf on Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Four golfcourses can be found in Snaefellsnes. By Langholt close to Hotel Budir, Olafsvik, Sudur-Bar near Grundarfjordur and in Stykkisholmur.
Langholt is a tourist accommodation in Stadarsveit near Hotel Budir. At Langholt you can find Gardavollur, a small golfcourse - 9 holes, Par 32.
